Stella Day

Stella is an experienced senior HR Consultant who focuses on the delivery of real outcomes in the people arena. Working with clients across the private and public sector, Stella has over 30 years’ experience across the full range of HR activities and employee lifecycle. She has managed change programmes of all sizes covering business start-ups, BPR, integration projects, disposals and merger & acquisitions. She has coached and advised managers on a wide range of ER and change issues, including reward, restructuring and performance management and supported the development of strategic workforce plans. Stella has a Certificate in Counselling Skills, is a qualified MBTI practitioner and a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. She is also a tutor on CIPD HR courses, coaches HR apprentices and has a Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

She volunteers extensively outside work in her local community and is a Trustee at Orwell Multi Academy Trust, Secretary of Teamipswich Swimming Club and a committee member of the Broomhill Trust.

Karen Barnes

Chartered FCIPD, Director

Karen is a senior HR professional with over 30 years’ HR experience working across different disciplines, client bases, single and multi-site locations providing the full range of both HR generalist and strategic HR Director support to organisations from recruitment through to employee engagement and retention, performance management, case management, career progression and succession planning. Karen has significant change management experience in business start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, organisation redesign, rebranding and cultural change programmes. Although primarily working in the private sector, Karen has also developed wide public sector experience. An HR strategist with a track record of delivering integrated HR solutions in line with business objectives, Karen is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and NLP practitioner with well-developed facilitation and leadership coaching skills gained from working in dynamic commercial environments. She is also Level A and B qualified in psychometric testing, a qualified MBTI practitioner and a qualified workplace mediator.

Lynn Rozier

Chartered FCIPD, Director

With more than 30 years’ experience, Lynn is a Senior HR Generalist who has worked in a number of sectors including Pharmaceutical, Energy Services, Engineering and Facilities Management. She has successfully managed a number of HR Teams through numerous employee relations initiatives, including company restructures, change management programmes and TUPE transfers. She also headed up consultations with unions and staff associations during these initiatives. Her TUPE experience has included successful transfers of staff from the NHS and local Government into the private sector. She won a Company award for her management style, putting her in the top 2% of managers across the organisation she worked for. She has a pragmatic yet commercial approach to her work and prides herself on the excellent relationships she builds with her management teams. She now enjoys the variety of clients she works with as a consultant and takes time to understand their businesses and their HR challenges, providing them with solutions which are practical and follow best practice. Lynn is also a Mental Health First Aider.

Liz Cook

MCIPD, HR Consultant

With over 24 years’ HR experience, Liz is a highly competent, credible and skilled senior HR professional. She combines both long-standing and recent strategic-level HR experience with a pragmatic, outcome-based approach. Her career in public sector, including local government and the Police, has given her extensive expertise in a wide variety of change management programmes, including: culture change and organisational development; restructures and redundancies; TUPE transfers in and out (including successful transfers of staff from local government to the private sector). Liz also has a strong background in employee relations, including negotiation and working constructively with trade unions. Liz enjoys managing teams and has worked at a senior level, most recently as Head of HR with Suffolk & Norfolk Constabularies. Liz is an ILM-qualified coach, with proven ability to motivate and influence at all levels, quickly building rapport and trusting, effective relationships. She enjoys coaching and mentoring, particularly of new managers and HR colleagues, and has many years’ experience as a successful HR Business Partner and CMI-qualified Project manager. She is also a Mental Health First-Aider. Liz began consultancy work in 2019 and has since worked in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors completing, amongst other assignments, change management programmes, interim HR manager assignments, complex investigations, and policy review.

Administrator

Beth has over 15 years of office manager experience. She recently started with Blue Star HR supporting retained clients providing excellent administration skills. She brings organisation and efficiency to the team with a can-do attitude. Away from work her passion is endurance running, particularly through the miles of countryside trails we have in Suffolk

Emily Jones

HR Advisor

Emily is an experienced HR professional and CIPD qualified. Emily is also a Mental Health First Aider and has a passion for supporting employers and employees to promote positive mental health in the workplace.  Emily has experience in a variety of sectors including education and manufacturing and is now supporting Blue Star HR and their clients with a variety of employment advice, policy writing, audits and recruitment processes. Emily enjoys the variety of working with different clients each day and building relationships with new people at all levels within an organisation.

Karen Myall

Project Manager

Karen is an enthusiastic, structured and highly motivated individual with over 25 years’ experience in the Energy sector, and 7 years’ experience managing teams and people.  She is an excellent team player and communicator with strong facilitation and presentation skills.  She is adept at working with systems and processes and delivering operationally to tight timescales.  During her career she has held a number of roles which have utilised her Project Management capabilities from scoping and planning to implementation and execution of systems and new practices.

Karen can work with all levels, both remotely and in person.  All her roles have required her to be organised, work independently and collaboratively, and have an analytical approach with a strong attention to detail
